The City of Tampa is continuing to invest in neighborhoods through an important pipeline improvement program, collectively known as the Utility Capital Improvement Projects (UCAP). The city has selected CH2M HILL Constructors, Inc. as their design-builder to implement the program, while working as an extension of city staff. This program represents the opportunity to coordinate multiple improvements in neighborhoods city-wide while maximizing scheduling efficiency, minimizing impacts to residents and businesses, and capitalizing on opportunities to coordinate work for the best solutions.
Collectively, the projects are essential to maintaining reliable utility service for existing customers and position's the city to serve redevelopment and growth in the coming decades. The projects include installation of a new water transmission line, replacement of numerous water distribution lines, stormwater
improvements, and replacement of a major wastewater force main.
UCAP Progress Reports are issued quarterly and contain a status report on many key metrics.
